After reading my opponents detailed description I thought I should add a bit more. As a new player I was curious about macro strategy, specifically, can a rouge player go for lots of city expansion and then build a ton of upgraded irregular units to swarm. I researched to bard and then using the irregular track upgraded movement and training plus back stab. This wasn't a good test because being a new player who at the time didn't own any of the dlc, I overeached with main hero stacks on less then three treasure sites, each tome losing heroes and key units. The worst of these was when I spotted my opponents army and instead of attacking his hero with my main stack, I decided to get a regrowth buff and go against the grim reapers who I had never fought before and wails stunned all my units and promptly slaughtered them

After that it was short order over. Still, my consolation was that even without these massive blunders, I probably would have lost hard to the many flying monsters summoned that utterly destroyed my cities quickly. Many lessons learned.

I made some big mistakes early on and then had some trouble because I was playing too much! despit those challenges, marcus is a great person to play against, very frendly and helped me with my strategy.

Age of Wonders 3

I'm looking to practice my macro game tonight for the upcoming 1v1 tournament. I am a rookie multiplayer gamer and I am interested in playing someone with experience to learn from. 

Preferred settings: Small map, no underground, simultaneous , 5 minute turns, tactical vs human only.

Start time between 9:00- 10 pm EST 

I actually don't own any of the expansion s, so it's also preferable if you start the game with these settings.

Also, I have small children so there is a chance the game may need to be put on pause if they wake up

I recommend you advertise the game on the Live Multiplayer Player Pool to maximize chances of getting someone to play with you.
